Iconic glass roof installed at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier

#Group News
The final stages of development are underway at our major urban regeneration project Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier, which is set to open this year on April 25, creating a vibrant new sustainable destination in the heart of Hamburg.

A new milestone was passed recently, with the finalisation of the centre’s unique glass roof. Designed by German architect Werner Sobek, the roof’s fluid design resembles an ornate piece of filigree jewellery, connecting the surrounding buildings and providing elegant protection against the elements.

Check out this drone footage of the rooftop installation, shot by Darran Arpe for the industrial glazier Roschmann Group.

Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier has been designed as a sustainable, integrated district that will Reinvent Being Together. It will connect places to live and work with attractive cultural offers, leisure facilities, innovative retail and entertainment concepts, and a major cruise ship terminal.

Stay tuned as we prepare for next month’s grand opening. You can discover more about Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier here.
