Westfield Ruhr Park

Established in 1964, Westfield Ruhr Park in Bochum is the second oldest and one of the most popular shopping centres in North Rhine-Westphalia. As Germany’s largest open-air shopping centre, it boasts 160 shops across 118,800 square metres.
Its unique modernist design blends indoor and outdoor spaces, featuring spacious walkways and green areas bathed in natural light. Westfield Ruhr Park is not just a shopping centre, but a vibrant, family-friendly hub. It features eye-catching elements like a giant origami bird by French artist Alexis Tricoire and offers a variety of trendy brands for shopping and dining experiences.
The central courtyard, with its contemporary use of glass, steel and wood, serves as a gathering place. Beyond shopping, it offers play areas for children and family-oriented events, ensuring a welcoming experience for all ages. In September 2024 , Ruhr Park embarked on a new journey as it became the second Westfield flagship destination in Germany, ushering in a new era of experience-oriented shopping.
